Connect OKX with a read-only key

Flicker reads positions, balances and orders with this key. Where OKX reports its permissions, Flicker refuses a key that can trade or withdraw, so create a read-only one.

On OKX

  1. Sign in to OKX and open Profile › API and connections.

  2. Choose Create API key and name it Flicker.

  3. Under Permissions, choose Read only. Leave Trade and Withdraw off.

Illustration. Each exchange names these permissions in its own words.
  4. Set a passphrase and keep it: OKX can't show it again, and Flicker needs it.

  5. Restrict the key to Flicker's IP address, 18.153.160.58. It's recommended for security.

  6. Confirm with your 2FA, then copy the API Key, the Secret Key and your passphrase.

  7. Paste it below. Where the exchange reports it, Flicker checks what the key can do before saving it.

What you'll see after connecting

  • Every open position with entry, mark and unrealized P&L, beside your other exchanges.
  • Each position's stop and target as set on OKX, and what you'd lose if every stop fills.
  • Flicker's read on each asset you hold: its verdict and how many factors agree.
  • Closed trades as a record, measured in R, and a weekly review.
